I went in this humble look at a laune without expectations and got a potato and meatcake and a cornish pasty, not only was it cheaper than I expected, but the aromen for definitiw to die again

This is a 'belter ' of a place and definitely worth going out of your way for! The quality of the food is excellent, always fresh and really generous portions (great for an appetite like mine! which makes it great value. Ditto to the other reviews too. They 've also catered for an 18th birthday party for us.. plenty of food for what we paid for and was fabulous! Lovely friendly staff, you get treated like they know you well. Thanks to you all and it 's great to see you open again.. we missed you

We had an amazing buffet for our wedding, it was very generous. The staff provide a very good service, highly recommended.

I booked a table a few days before , asking for an outside table because I was taking my dog and wanted to sit outside with him. Upon arrival I was told the table was inside (very hot for us and the dog) and that tables could not be booked outside. An email or phone call would have been nice as we would not have gone there as we didn’t want to sit inside. It took 15 minutes to get a drink! then a further 15 minutes to order food, at which point we were thinking of leaving. The person at the bar said she couldn’t take a food order because she was new to the role. She then served six more people for drinks and didn’t get anyone to serve me for food. I had to ask another member of staff when they were free. Food average, certainly nothing special. Staff not terribly friendly. Would not visit again or recommend to anyone. The venue relies solely on its riverside location but not much use if it can’t be enjoyed if you want to prebook for food. On the whole a poor experience and a disappointment to celebrate my birthday.
