Marco's Italian Restaurant - SHOAL BAY

Good breakfast, friendly staff that make you smile, made you feel welcome, good coffee with a good view of bay.

Was staying just along the road at the Ramada Resort, so happy to be in walking distance and able to enjoy a drink with our meal. I had a cocktail and my partner had a couple of beers. We chose to eat outside as it was a lovely winter's night. We had garlic bread and the antipasto shared. I had the seafood special at $45. It was huge. The seafood platter for 2 wasn't available. Neither of us wanted dessert, but we both had coffees. $168 for 2 wasn't cheap, but we enjoyed it and the waiter, whose name I can't remember, was very helpful and obliging. I'm surprised at the negative scores, as I'd happily return.

Stopped for a leisurely breakfast on a School Holiday Monday. Perfect sunny Winter weather and a gorgeous beach view. Service helpful and attentive without being intrusive - just the right balance. Gentle jaunty background music. Our group ordered full breakfast & Eggs Benedict with Salmon. Coffee came promptly. Everything nicely cooked & good quality. Italian sausage particularly tasty. Quiet and reasonably peaceful for a street facing restaurant. Happy to recommend

Went in for a quick cost friendly feed but got a Very pricey basic ham cheese pizza that was slightly less then impressive.

Had occasion to visit this restaurant after a tiring day of driving. Wanted something easy. Pizzas seemed a good option. They had all the taste you'd want, but were soggy and limp.Went again on our last night of holiday, as we didn't want to cook or dive to anywhere else. Admittedly they were busy, but my Spaghetti Carbonara was almost indedible and was literally swimming in fat and garlic. Worst carbonara I've ever had. When asked if we enjoyed the meal and I said no, there was no response from the head guy, just a request as to which account I would charge the meal. Not happy.
