Marinas Tropical - Shenandoah

I was extremely disappointed when I went to this restaurant for the first time. I walked in, found a seat, but was never greeted by a waiter. I sat at my table for nearly 5 minutes without any service, all the while hearing the employees in the back chatting away. So I ended up leaving.

My wife and I recently dined at Marina's and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant specializes in dishes from the Dominican Republic, which were all incredibly flavorful and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Onion Steak, a dish consisting of layers of steak marinated to perfection. I also tried the shrimp quesadilla, which was filled with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and cilantro and was absolutely delicious. The sweet fried plantains were a standout for me, as I've never had them prepared so well before. The rice and beans were also packed with flavor and everything was served in generous portions. I ended up taking some leftovers home because I couldn't finish it all. If you're looking for authentic and unique cuisine, I highly recommend giving Marina's a try. You won't be disappointed - we were truly pleased with our meal.
