Everything. The food, the service, the atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Love going there and also on occasion taking out.
Our dinner and service did not disappoint us. The salmon and tuna dinners were great. Wished we'd taken pics of them before we started but did get one of the dessert, pistachio with pastry and whip cream.
Excellent food and service. We went to celebrate a birthday and we were presented this lovely dessert.
Our reservation for 4:45 PM was for an early dinner, but we weren't the only group there. The cozy first dining room had some diners sitting at the bar, while the adjacent room was buzzing with laughter and conversation. First impressions: Wellingtons' interior could use some updating. It felt a bit worn, and while I can overlook many things, our first date was off to a rocky start. Our server, however, was energetic and lively. We ordered Caesar salads and shrimp cocktails, which we enjoyed very much. While waiting for our entrees, the second dining room filled up quickly, and the wait staff seemed to keep pace with the growing number of customers—a good sign, though the noise level also increased. When our entrees arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and attractive presentations. The Sole Milanese and linguine with shrimp were outstanding. When it was time to settle the bill, our server presented one check instead of two, which would have been more appropriate since one person at our table had ordered takeout for a family member at home. The server itemized the takeout on one side of the check, but the itemization of our in-house meals was oddly coded and hard to decipher. Although we didn't need separate checks since one couple was covering the entire table's meal, Wellingtons lost points for the unclear check presentation. We also had to ask for our customer copy of the receipt. Wellingtons has been serving the local community fine food for many years. Their decision not to reinvest in upgrades might stem from a commitment to customer loyalty over the years, reflecting the old adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
