The Blue Rock Restaurant And Bar

This amazing restaurant is small and very busy so make reservations!! We had 4 people and got seated in a separate room which was wonderful! There are oriental rugs hanging on the walls and just the right amount of lighting. The music was great and hadus all bopping along. The food was AMAZING! I will definitely come again! Prices were not higher than I would expect for suchhigh quality and amazing atmosphere! I would definitely consider them for a small party in that room!! Only things I can saythey could do for improvement... The waiter we had was filling in and didn't seem to know the menu too well and I would haveordered a different meal if he had told me the eggs were still runny on the steak (my husband got it and I ate half of his!! The steak with quail eggs is sublime! And with delicious mashed potatoes and squash and corn on the cob! ; And they needmore/better parking especially for those people who have trouble walking. You can park in the lot above but then would have towalk down a huge set of stairs. Only one handicap parking spot. I need to point out that they are one of the few places in thearea with a handicap ramp! Just get someone to drop you off before parking and hopefully it's not too busy! Overall I rate thisplace among one of the best places when u combine atmosphere, view, and food. Oh almost forgot... Ghostface Killah drink is akiller ????

Had an incredible dinner tonight. The apple squash bisque was delicious with a hint of baking spice. The pork chop, which I normally never order because they're too dry/tough, was perfectly tender in a cider brine, topped with caramelized leeks pear.We weren't drinking tonight, but the bar was great nonetheless: they had a nice craft non-alcoholic beer, and the super friendlybartender proposed a number of great mocktail options. On top, the atmosphere is attractive: fun without being kitsch.

Even the roasted potatoes were special. The boneless, skinless chicken breasts with artichokes were truly moist. Amazing. Mushroom ravioli? First-rate, with a friendly staff always reachable for drinks or questions. Can't wait to go back!

For a Thursday night they were pretty busy. No one wanted to sit out in the porch since it was raining so we didn’t have to wait for a table. Woohoo! The porch has a great view of town and the river. My peanut butter jam burger was delicious. They maketheir own ketchup which if you are used to that kind it’s probably great. However, I am not used to it so I didn’t care forit. They French fries were just okay. My husband didn’t care for the chicken on his salad. Loved his drink though. We willdefinitely be back.

Great place to eat and friendly staff. We walked in as a party of 4 not realizing we needed reservations, they sat us anyway with an hour to eat before the guests arrived for their reservations. It was an overall great experience for me to sit in aplace that was remodeled over 30 years ago by my father. The wheelchair ramp to the art gallery above still has the mark in itthat he left. Enough about that and just know that the food was just as amazing as the staff!!!
