Haven’t been to the Three Merry Lads for years. Was staying at my parents while they were away and we decided to go for Sunday dinner. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The pub was clean and there was a nice atmosphere. Food was delicious. I had roast beef, my sister had roast turkey and my son and nephew both had burgers. We also had cookie dough for dessert with was also delicious. Reasonably priced, especially for the quality and quantity! Will definitely return and would recommend. Thank you!
We stopped by this restaurant while walking from Redmires on a Bank Holiday afternoon. It is very dog and mud-friendly, and the full car park is always a good indicator. I saw that there were 2 motor homes parked in the lot, which is ideal given the location. We chose the full hog roast with roast potatoes and vegetables, all cooked perfectly and highly recommended. There is a great selection of beers available, and from looking around at other diners' meals, everything looked excellent. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
The restaurant had a nice selection of wines and the whitebait starter was tasty. We ordered tacos for our main course, one beef and one chicken. Both were flavorful but cold. We informed the staff about this and they offered to replace the dishes, but we declined in order to prevent food wastage. We suggested that a discount would have been a better way to acknowledge our complaint and demonstrate good customer service. However, there was no offer of recompense when we mentioned this before leaving. We suggested a £2 token offer and placed it in the charity jar, hoping that it was honored.
