Barley's Kitchen Tap - Shawnee

Nice place. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. Live music doesn't need to be that loud. It drowns out EVERYTHING. You have to scream at your server to get anything. Drinks are overpriced but the bartender did pay attention to the drink:ice ratio and didn't just fill all empty space with ice. I really appreciate that.

I always like trying new things and Barley's always has a good selection of beers and ciders on tap. On a second drink, I wasn't asked what I wanted they just assumed I was getting the same thing, which was unfortunate. I'm sure they would have fixed it if I cared to ask. They were out of their primary sirloin cut when we went. So I went with salmon. The honey pepper glaze just tasted burnt to me, and was not enjoyable. 99 beers on the. Really 99 taps. Plus bottle beer. The food is also good to great.

Good food! And a great turnaround; I walked in, ordered my food, and it was ready to go in no time!!

The service here is very slow. Food is not as good as it used to be. Still a great selection of beers.
