I would recommend this place based on food alone. some of the servers were trying to engage with us but there was a more forceful one that very quickly ran thru options for first timers and wasnt patient with us. Additionally they were out of a lot of menu items, including burgers. It was frustrating ordering a burger, and then 20 mins later trying to order another one to go, and them being out. I may try it again but it will be a while.
This establishment is a total s show run by distracted and incompetent millennials. Decided to go for BBQ on a Saturday afternoon and tried the Sugarfire Smokehouse. Went inside and we were the only ones ordering. There was one family eating at the restaurant. They were not busy. The ordering process is very confusing because the young lady taking our order was unsure of what they had and what they were out of. After way too much back and forth we just agreed to whatever she said because I had lost interest in the process and just wanted to move on. We go down to the register and the young man asked us what we ordered.....really? Because I don 't know at this point. The young lady comes to the register and rescues the situation. There is a lot of confusion because no one really knows what is going on.....and this is punctuated by a lot of confused back and forth banter between the 4 employees. I have very low expectations at this point but you pay your money and you take your chances. The order cost me $60.67 for 2 meals. Pretty steep but who knows it may be awesome. We sit down and wait for our food. The 3 millennials 2 guys and 1 girl) continue to banter while a 4th lady seemed to ignore them. She may have been the one in charge but it 's hard to tell. The first thing I noticed was one of the guys, the tall one, was eating with his hands while he was preparing food on the food prep line. The 2nd guy and girl repeatedly left the food prep line and went into the back and returned to the prep line without washing their hands. At some point the lady who may have been in charge left prep area and did not return. Ok...it 's a little gross but so what. I 've traveled and worked a lot in the third world and this joint is not much different than that. After a few minutes the food is ready and handed over in a stapled closed brown paper bag. My wife takes it and hands it to me. The first thing I notice is the bag is very light. I ordered a full rack of ribs and this bag feels like a bag of chips. In the car my wife opens the bag to check the contents. Instead of the full rack of ribs I ordered the is a crumpled tin foil package with 4 ribs in it. There are no sides and no hush puppies. We paid $60.67 for this swill. The ribs look awful and my wife 's sandwich is half hanging out of the hastily packed wrapper. I go back in and ask the genus behind the register if this is a full rack of ribs.....he answers I don 't think so . Then the other genus says that there are no more ribs. At this point I 'm done. The the millennials go on and on blaming the lady who owns the restaurant. They take zero responsibility for their own ineptitude and just carry on about the owner. Note: to the lady who owns the restaurant. You need to have an adult on the job at all times. These three kids are going to bankrupt you. They are inept and terrible for your business. Now I 'm done. I give back all the food and ask for a refund on my credit card. Neither of these three genuses know how to run a charge credit. One is on the phone and the other continues to ask me what I ordered. I 'm the only person in the restaurant. Aside from the 3 visible employees, I 'm the only one there. The charge cancel process is as confused as everything else. I have ZERO confidence that the cash register genus properly credited my credit card. Got home and called the credit card company to block the charge. They told me that it had already gone through and they put a dispute on it for me. That 's where we are now. Don 't waste your time or money with Sugarfire Smokehouse. It is a total s show and they will steal your money. Final note: the photo is not of the three goofballs that work there. It 's a photo of the broken and sagging ceiling tile hanging open right above the food prep area.
Excellent food the best I have had in a while. The ribs were tender and the service was great. If you in the area give them a try you will not be disappointed.
We had a small wait on some food. A lady named T came and introduced herself and explained that she had to cook fresh bacon. It's nice to see her involved with the customers! Excited to try for our first time! Nice environment! Thanks, King concrete coatings
