Bidrage med feedbackOh my goodness! There is not much around here--you can drive over an hour and not see a restaurant--and that is what makes it all the more surprising that Stephens Restaurant is very, very good. The hamburger was great (comes with fries, tots, or homemade chips. The deep-fried burrito at the next table looked good enough to steal. The daily special was pork enchilada with red chili. Service was quick and kindly. Really, what more could you ask for in even the finest establishment?
We absolutely loved this place! The service was amazing with our server being sweet, generous, and incredibly efficient. To say that portions are HUGE would be an understatement. Our double burgers and fries really hit the spot after a long afternoon of driving. It has been quite awhile since we've had such a delicious burger of this size and quality!Everything we tried was fresh and expertly cooked to perfection and we sincerely believe this may just be the BEST BURGER IN KANSAS! The menu is very affordable and the service, food, and environment doesn't disappoint. We can't recommend this establishment enough and can't wait to return!!!
Absolutely amazing home cooking... exceptional service... excellent pie
I don't know if the cook is different than the one other reviews complimented but our breakfast was very poorly cooked overcooked. The toast was inedible and more like a crusty crouton. Same with the breakfast potatoes. The server was wonderful. It was not a surprise that we were the only customers at 8:15 am. No locals usually means not worth a stop.
If you eat breakfast here, you're probably ok and if you like greasy fried comfort food, you're also ok, but if you like healthy, the only green they offer is salad. No cooked veggies. Mashed potatoes and gravy are served as the side with a meat meal. They were nice enough to sub a side salad instead of fries or fried homemade chips. I ordered the patty melt with cooked onion and melted cheese, but had them leave off the bread. You get all the burger fixings with this, which was very good. The onions were sweet, like I like. The waitress was very accommodating and nice. The cook, who is probably the owner, is very involved in communicating with the servers, as if he's the boss. We were just passing through, on our way to Colorado. The parking lot is big rig friendly , (Class A 40' Diesel pusher), however it has a very thin coat of pee gravel, so some potholes and muddy after the rains.
