Inlet View Restaurant is probably the very best restaurant that we visit in all of Oak Island and Shallotte. The food there is wonderful! I always get the shrimp and it's great. The atmosphere there with the view of the inlet can't be beat. The waitresses are nice and helpful. We try to visit here as often as we can, and I wish they wouldn't close for the Winter. Good food, best hush puppies ever. Nicely seasoned peel and eat shrimp. Grilled sea scallops very good. Excellent waitress whose name I wish I remembered, but she was very friendly and really on top of it. I'll look for her next visit. Only negative. Ditch the frozen butter pads.
