Bidrage med feedbackBefore I start my comment, I need to specify that we are regular customers of starred restaurants. How disappointing ! What a difference from our last lunch experience in July 2017 ! At the time we took pictures of every dish as the presentation was elaborate and refined and the service impeccable. Taste was also fantastic. We returned with friends on the 17th of November 2019, for the white truffle menu and were so disappointed. The little starter before starters was well presented like a little forest with mushrooms accompanied with a safran and onion broth. No particular taste to the “mushrooms” and the broth was cold and blend. Not even a pinch of salt. The two following dishes were ok but far from spectacular, generously topped with white truffles even though the dishes portions were quite small. Then comes the secundi (the meat . Not bad but not so good either, again covered with white truffle (why is meat covered with truffle? The presentation was extremely simple. A black ball of meat on a small bed of 2 different sauces, one grey, one red. Nothing else on the plate. The table was covered with bread crumbs and was never cleaned before dessert. Then we were served a pre-dessert presented in a large bowl that we had to send back to the kitchen as there was not enough to eat to fill a coffee spoon as the espuma in it had liquified. Then comes the dessert, a very small ball of milk ice cream (1 teaspoon a tiny speck of fresh cheese, a finger size sponge cake and 2 teaspoons of a room temperature pasty carrot purée (really not tasteful That’s it. The usual sweets were served after diner and were good. Throughout the whole diner some ingredients were missing in some plates (which we signaled to the waiter and he saw to it The cherry on the cake as we say came with the bill. We were charged 636€ for 88grams worth of white truffle (7000€ per kilo double the price of the highest market price for very good quality white truffe No wonder they so generously spread it on top of every dish, even on top of the meat and the dessert sponge cake, for which we refused the pricy topping (again, white truffle on top of a dry sponge cake ? When the hefty bill arrived we complained to the manager of course as we clearly had been taken advantage of. Appart from the truffle which was good, the limited gustative quality and minimalist presentation of the dishes are far from par with a 1 Michelin star. However, to be fair we have to indicate that following our complaint, the manager took 10% off from our bill. The amount was insufficient in regards with our disappointing experience of the diner as a whole, but the gesture was welcomed. When asked we were told that since we came last, the chef had changed. Clearly, Michelin guide inspectors need to check this restaurant out again ! What a disgrace to Michelin notoriety !
Great food and wine, service was perfection. Menu was well balanced and the wine list very extensive and broad based. Prices not excessive and the overall ambience was very nice.
I have never seen such a poor and disgusting breakfast in a 5-star hotel!! Even the bread is so unappealing! In Italy!!! Tomorrow I will go and find any other little cafe to have a breakfast even though my breakfast is prepaid in this awful hotel. The omelette looks so bad as if it was made by a baby learning to cook! Never ever come to have breakfast here!!
Tutto meravigliosamente perfetto, all’altezza di un 5L !!!! Esperienza da provare almeno una volta …. Panorama, cibo, personale, location, arredamento curato nei minimi particolari, serra con piantine aromatiche ……
Il maestro Mammoliti è tornato. Una cena incredibile, dove si vive l’esplosione del miracolo che compie in cucina uno degli chef più eccezionali d’Italia. Piatti che ti entrano nell’anima ma che sanno raccontare un territorio. Degno di menzione l’incredibile giardiniera, un piatto che da solo vale il viaggio. Bentornato MAESTRO!
