Large cozy room, large bathroom, chilled drinks in the room bar, all very clean! Restaurant in a very pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. I was very happy and happy to come back.
We had a great weekend with great food and service. Very idyllic environment that is suitable to stay.
The hotel with restaurant and the details are noticeable. Well over the WE. Breakfast to the missing screen cup coffee, for this a not everyday selection of teas. Perfect fresh scrambled eggs on request and on special request short-term spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. Rare spaghetti with strong sauce, a poem, of course there was also the perfect wine for my taste. Cook them. You'll feel free.
We couple wanted to spend a nice Saturday with accommodation together with relatives 2 pairs/1 single person at Hotel Venner Moor. We had booked the rooms via Booking.com. By the way, when we arrived at the hotel at 1230, we received the housewife with the teaching speech that we were too early and the check was only possible from 1600. What was no problem for us. In our question whether we could drink a coffee in the beer garden, we were told unfriendly that it was closed. Weather: covered, dry, 19 degrees, no WInd . They still have a company and could therefore not work outside. Asked if we could take the coffee out, he also got a cancellation. If we were to sit outside when they saw us... There are more guests. Then the Lord of the House also turned to him. Quote: ...so I get you what happens when you sit out there. There are more and more people we can't use. And this is because we have allowed you... We asked who the guests are here and whether we were even welcome. We went out and discussed. All occurrences and noises of the owners as extremely unfriendly, arrogant to defuse. We agreed to announce the hotel rooms for free at Booking.com and without any problems until 1800. I went back to the hoteliers to share our decision. Then I was brewed by the owner. Quote: ...You must surely have heard that we have a lack of qualified workers in gastronomy. We only have too little staff... I said that as a guest. The beer garden is presented on the website as a central, attractive point. This should therefore also be available. It must calculate accordingly and keep more employees. And even if this is not possible, we could expect you to be the guests! She didn't even understand. Quote: ...you have to accept...you could and we would have if we were to say it differently. The many positive reviews, the beautiful ambience and the beer garden had led us to choose this hotel. At least in terms of kindness, we cannot really understand that according to our experience. Of course we cannot evaluate the food and the rooms. The behavior of the owners gets a maximum of a star from us. I have visited many hotels and restaurants for professional reasons. But I've never experienced such treatment before. We found rooms nearby. We were received very nice and accommodating. Like this...
We stayed in Send for some Münsterland cycling days and found this restaurant where we stayed for 3 days to the full satisfaction of all participants of the tour: Netter, unscrupulous and attentive service, grounded and yet very fine and not artificially overpriced food. Just good!
