Skyrgerðin - Selfoss

Loved this little hidden gem of a restaurant with cosy, traditional interior and it is busy for a reason. The cod dish I chose was exceptional, bursting with flavours. Just writing this is making me want it again! The dessert equally delicious. If you are in the area definitely book a table here, the prettiest building in Hveragerdi!

Since it was very full, we had to sit in the garden, which was also good. Despite ugly and sleepy jazz music all the time. This music has become very popular in many restaurants. Iceland please stop or at least change it more often play more diversity. Service was not the best, we had to pick up the menu in the restaurant, then order (and pay in advance) in the restaurant, then carry our drinks and our water

Nice cozy place to go to a cold rainy night. Great atmosphere and nice staff. The dishes were somewhat limited, but a good taste of local dishes. As something else in Iceland on the expensive side. We have the shrimp small plate plus a braided fish stew, both were amazing!

Very delicious food. I loved the lamb and the fish was delicious. Full recommendation.

For her 3-course lunch. It was worth every crown! It is not as beautiful as in the evening, but it was a good soup perfectly cooked chicken breast small dessert. Food change between days. Very recommended for lunch!
