Great little village pub friendly landlord would recommend a visit if in the area.

The restaurant offers amazing food with brilliant staff. The decor is stunning and the recent changes have made it feel open and spacious. Overall, it's fabulous!

By far the friendliest pub in the village, the landlord and landlady are very accommodating so I really cant understand some of the comments on here, other than to say small local pubs only earn anything if you actually buy a drink or a bag of crisps if your going to use the facilities for an hour £0.80p doesn't seem too much to ask if you wanted a drink or not. Also whilst being accommodating neither of the licensee's will stand for any nonsense so read into some of the other peoples comments what you will.If your looking for an enjoyable local pint with some friendly local folk this should be your first destination in Sherburn, regularly used by myself and my family including my 3 kids and always receive a warm welcome.Final points an excellent place to hold wedding, birthday, anniversary and christening bashes, especially on a Sunday as they really go to town with the spreads etc and decorations for next to nothing. Also keep your eyes open for the Wednesday night steak and pulled pork nights, they are brilliant value and very, very well cooked by the landlord Tony. In all then highly recommended by a satisfied customer.

All the staff are wonderful, very welcoming and excellent food! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
