Meandro Restaurant - SEBOLIDO

My partner and I visited Meandro Resturant during our stay in Rio Mau in May 2023. The location is superb, with stunning views of the Duoro River As you would expect, the menu is in Portuguese. However, I used google translate to translate the menu, which worked well. We ordered two different steak dishes and some drinks. The food arrived and, my goodness, it was delicious! Both steak dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! So much so, that we returned the next day for lunch again. This time we ordered the Rojoes and another steak dish alongside drinks and coffees. Again, the food surpassed our expectations it was all delicious. well seasoned and well presented. When it came to paying, we were taken aback at how reasonable the price was for such good food! We would certainly return to Meandro and would recommend it to anyone to give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic scenery, food and wine. Prices were very reasonable and the staff very nice. Portions were huge. Do not take the head guys cake recommendation (not good), can’t remember what that was though.

Fantastic! Amazing terrace with a breathtaking view of the Douro river. The food is great hadn't tasted hake fillets this good in a long time, fresh and perfectly cooked! The whole feeling to this place is just perfect. No frills, just a relaxed, unpretensious, friendly environment.

Driving down the Douro Valley on the N108 and feeling hungry when we came across this 'little gem ' of a cafe/restaurant. Don 't be put off by the look of the place, it is where the locals eat as opposed to being on the tourist map. We sat outside overlooking the valley and ordered an absolutely gorgeous meal (the best we 've had to date in Portugal) of Portuguese pork steaks with roast potatoes, cabbage and carrots with sweet to follow. We shall definitely return on our next visit to Porto area and can 't recommend it highly enough.
