Tacos Guaymas - Seattle

I have gotten food poisoning on four different continents in places without running water but none of it compares to the horrific, fever inducing sickness I got after ordering the quesadillas here. You know what rhymes with Tacos Guayamas Birria? Diarrhea. Of the Latinx-plosive kind.

Tacos Guaymas in Seattle offers a wide variety of high-quality Mexican food at a reasonable cost. Despite being a bit pricey, the quality of their food is top-notch. Their burritos are particularly impressive, with large portions and delicious, sturdy tortillas. The fresh ingredients shine through in every bite. The guacamole is decent, though a bit heavy on the onions. Unfortunately, the horchata can be a bit watered down and disappointing. Overall, Tacos Guaymas is a standout choice for Mexican cuisine in Seattle.

Carne Asada super burrito is sooo good. Especially with the salsa verde. Big portion and delicious flavor. Highly recommend

Food is pretty but overpriced. If you drive 5 minutes to Azteca at Northgate you can have similar food/drinks for about half the prive with happy hour.

It's been years since I've been to this place and I remembered it being pretty decent. Last night I had dinner with friends and I was not especially impressed. As with everything, their prices have gone up, most items are over $15, but I guess that's normal now. I wouldn't mind if the quality and flavors better. I wasn't super hungry and didn't want leftovers and struggled to find something that wasn't a giant platter of food. I settled on sopes with chicken. The corn shell forming the bottom was so tough I could not cut it with a knife. The flavors overall were exceedingly bland with just shredded chicken, refried beans, iceberg lettuce and a few crumbles of cojita. My husband's wet burrito was covered with what tasted like canned enchilada sauce and the al pastor was dry and chewy. Just all around disappointing. As we waited for the check two couples came in were not greeted for a good 20 minutes. One couple left, the other was still waiting to order after sitting in the bar for an additional 10 minutes. There were only two other tables and one guy waiting for a pick up... the two servers were MIA for most of the two hours we were there. I may come back for drinks and complimentary chips, but that's about it.
