Bidrage med feedbackIt's really sad to see all the bad reviews that this store has because I only had good experiences at this point. All employees here are always so nice and efficient, even on really busy days, of which they have many) and their long hours of operation make it so that I can pick up something too much every day. I got most of my foods in QFC, but the next location to me is a bit further away and the prices are much higher so that this safeway was my usual shopping area especially since it is walkable). As with most branches in the city, there is homelessness nearby, but not in any way that interrupts my typical day or prevents me from picking up the food. I think people are really hard at this store because it is served so much by lower Queen Anne and Belltown, but they do an excellent job considering how much of them is needed every day. Also here I never had a bad experience and often this place. I would recommend it to everyone.
This is the worst Safeway in the United States. The Starbucks manager has lost all of their good employees due to breaking union laws and is being investigated for theft. Additionally, they only hire Mexican migrants who are not legal residents and do not speak English. There is also an inappropriate relationship between the manager and the meat manager Constantine, causing conflicts with customers and frequent theft. They blame the homeless for their actions and only assign the best employees to work with the least trained staff. I highly recommend avoiding this location. The director does not protect the employees and is incompetent, much like the rest of the management team. The merchandise manager runs a call girl website and obtained her position through unethical means. The staff are all drug addicts and alcoholics, creating a chaotic work environment. This is truly the worst place in the United States.
I really like this Safeway, but the staff is extremely rude. I have witnessed them treating customers poorly, and it is difficult to find someone to assist you. One major issue I have is that you cannot be picked up at this location, and Safeway did not inform customers about this policy. I went Thanksgiving shopping here and had to transport hundreds of dollars worth of food back to my Belltown apartment, but I could not be picked up due to the restrictions. You can only be picked up at a specific designated area, which is not feasible because Safeway does not allow cars to leave the parking lot. In fact, you have to manually push the locked carts for about 15 feet or unload your groceries at the front door, which is ridiculous. On the day before Thanksgiving, I was stuck outside Safeway for 1.5 hours trying to get my groceries home. I suggest connecting with Uber for transportation options, as it is incredibly frustrating. It is a hassle to shop here, and I will make sure to avoid coming back on game days.
I took these photos from this evil food handler in the Deli in Safeway on Sunday, the 31. October.
Amy and Lynn were so incredibly helpful! They provide outstanding customer service and make this specific Safeway my favorite location to visit!
