Bidrage med feedbackIt took me 2 days to clothe my body, to remove my person from my flat, to go on a quest to acquire cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. So yes, I was stoned partially out of my mind, walking down Pine (or was it Pike? I will never get themstraight because who in their right minds would put such similar street names parallel to each other? , when I glanced on theleft to see a hamburger joint. Odd, I have never recognized this place before even if I have lived 0.2 miles from it for 3months now (thank you for the precise measurement, Google Maps. . I was ready to ignore it because I am not a burger person...But wham!!! The smell of grease permeated the air and hit my smell receptors just right! Inevitably, I followed the smell ofonion rings and thoughts of cheesecake immediately died. Inside, the menu was just too much for my stoned self. But fig andpig sounded appealing. And don 't forget the onion rings. Did I say that already? 5 times maybe? No? Whatever. I don 't look THATstoned, could I? I could not trust myself to hear the cooks call out the order number, let alone match what I am hearing towhat I am seeing on a piece of paper under a dimly lit 2nd floor loft space while trying not to space out. But somehow, Imanaged to get my order with no issues, even with a staircase in my way. No time wasted. I dug in. The burger? Not my type ofbun, but it 's the typical white burger bun but a bit toasty, not too wet. I kind of like it. The patty is thin but juicy, andit 's accented with the crispy bacon. Honestly, one of the best things that ever graced my stoned lips. There were layers oftaste in this sandwich! Those onion rings? Omg, crunchy crispy, inside warm with sweet soft onions. The root beer float?Whatever ice cream they put on the float really enhances the flavor of root beer (and you have several brands to choosefrom! . Overall, I am 100% satisfied with this random lunch I decided to take at a burger joint. I went on to acquire mycheesecake and
I stumbled into Li'l Woody's after doing a search for places to eat near me on Google. I am so glad that I tried it. The staff was very friendly. The Big Woody a flame broiled bacon cheese burger with fries that were real potatoes cut at the restaurantwere excelent. If you are ever in Seattle make sure to stop by. Sorry I didn't include a picture of the Big Woody. I lost thepic.
The Ballard location is clean and safe feeling. The Cap Hill location made me feel I got a foodborne illness just while ordering. The tables and red food baskets at Cap Hill are permanently sticky. I can 't see how they pass health inspections. Theattitude and knowledge of the staff leave a lot to be desiered. But the food is excellent every time! I ate at 2 differentlocations 2 days in a row. I tried the New Mexico burger, the Pig and the Fig and the Karikari Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich. All were outstanding in taste. I am thankful Lil ' Woody 's doesn 't take the easy way out and use frozen fries. Cap Hill- pleaseclean up or cover up those exposed closets and areas back by the bathroom. When I see all that fifty all I wonder about is Howgross are the areas I CAN 'T see??? I also think Thank God I have a strong immune system. And LW 's thanks for keeping a fairand affordable price point for us working folks! Much appreciated. I love your food.
The burgers are absolutely PERFECT! Shake is on point, onion-rings are to die for, the fries are delicious. Only thing we didn't absolutely love was the queso, on the cheese fries. But, I think that is more of a personal taste thing I could see where somecould really enjoy it. It has a taco seasoning taste that didn't match the rest of our meal. Enjoyed the actual restaurant Icould see where it could fill fast but, I think that is some of it's charm.
Great burgers but meat was rather meager...but tasty tho.
