The Cuckmere - Seaford

I had made a reservation in advance as I didn't want to wait long due to my recent knee replacement surgery. Upon arrival, the restaurant was very busy and we were informed that we needed to wait for the manager to confirm our booking and seat us. We waited for about ten minutes before being seated. Despite the busy period and the addition of outdoor tables needing attention, I was disappointed with the service this time. We have dined here before and even during busy times, the service was never as slow as it was on this occasion. It would be beneficial for other staff besides the manager to be able to seat guests as well. I hope that the restaurant hasn't taken on too much and that the service doesn't suffer as a result. The food was good and served promptly, although they had run out of lamb and turkey roasts.

I had booked a table for 7 people for Sunday lunch. After driving for over an hour to get to cuckmere luckily I rang to see if there was any chance of moving my booking to a little later to be told that I didn't have a table. I was told they had my reservation but there was no space.

The staff at this restaurant is excellent, and the food is average but still enjoyable.

It was Shut, so I don't know your service is terrible. So you won't use again, please stop mailing me with garbage

Previously, how did not want to wait as I had a knee replacement a few weeks ago. When we arrived, it was very busy, but we said we had to wait until the manager had to check our booking and sit down. We have to wait ten minutes before we get to our table. I appreciate that there was a busy time and that there are now some tables that require service, but this time I was disappointed with the service. We've already eaten here and even when the service was busy was never so slow. Maybe it could be possible for other servers to be able to sit people as well as managers, as this would have been much better. I hope you didn't expand and the service will suffer. The food was well served immediately, although the lamb and turkey roasts were sold out.
