Cafe At 42 Apart - Scunthorpe

Although they close at 8.30pm on a Tuesday they happily accepted our booking. That deserves at least a 4 star itself. Due to circumstances however, we attended 25 mins late without anyaany notice which on my families behalf I apologise. I thought we'd be told we've missed our booking and they're going to close but I was so wrong. Even after their closing times, the staff guided us to the café and to our surprise she got the chef and we met up with the chef who agreed to cook for us. I apologised again and told them if we'd be a bother we'd book again but the waiter got the menu out and sathsat us down. Hands down thebthe customer service I've ever received. Whilst taking our order he was happy, spoke politely and was even able to have a conversation after he took our order.Then came our food which came pretty quick. Neatly presented and the looks was as good as the taste. You can tell the food was fresh. Talking to the chef, he said he gets the groceries everyday and the meat and chicken come from the local area and best of all from a Halal place. Not many places serve halal food to this standard and it did not disappoint. The kofta was tender, juicy which you could tell it was freshly made with the couscous. The food was ace and I was able to finish the whole plate and by the end of it I was stuffed. But the dessert came and I managed to have some of it and even though I was full I was able to enjoy the cold ice cream with a brownie. They certainly know how to make a good food combo and know how to make it well.This place deserves a 5 star, service was superb, presentation for the food and the place itself was clean and well lit with decorations. The staff are amazing and the chef was brilliant. A great team at café 42 who certainly don't disappoint. Will definitely be ordering again. They also participate in the eat out to help our scheme so if you want great food with great service that has a car park. Café 42 is the place.
