Macayo's Mexican Food - Scottsdale

Very friendly and entertaining atmosphere! great for families

Although had a reservation, had to wait for our table. Seemed understaffed so service was slow. Don’t blame servers. Just not a great experience.

My first and last time eating at this location. After just arriving, I ordered a house margarita and it had a guests receipt in it. It's a big receipt!! How did that make it to our table! The bartender/supervisor said sorry, the receipt machine is by our glasses. Then brought me a new one. I like the new look, not the service at this location.

My rice smelled and tasted like cigarettes. Absolutely turned off by their food after that and my whole table smelled of cigarettes the rest of the meal. The server took it off my bill but I never heard from the manager and they never really had much else to say. Other good and service was decent. Definitely won’t be back. Lord only knows why my food smelled and tasted like cigarettes of all things. Disgusting.

Best Mexican food I had in a long time. Server was great.
