Unfortunately, this western is a chaos. the pool is dirty, especially on Saturday. They have tons of high school children walking around and do nothing but being paid. these paid children's staff should cleanse, pick up hand towels and throw out garbage. Instead they are in clusters of 3-4 gossiping and ignoring guests. the whole mood is really terrible. the pool waiting to cry with workers, but they ask to clean up, to collect and serve hand towels, “with a smile”, is absurd. the pools were dirty. debris everywhere, in every pool. No one cleanses it with netzen, but again several workers stand to do nothing. it is disgusting to float through a lazy flow and come covered from various plant pieces and they closed the pool for extra time a morning bc of a good monsun in the night before, but the place was still dirty when they opened. the pool foods are medium, especially at the price. The “Wellenreiter” is “for a fee”. we had the feeling that this amenity was a asked switch. our children surfing and, as I said, this particular amenity is why we decided to try this western to go back to the jw desert ridge. paying a premium for a 1 hour reservation is absurd. especially as Bonvoy members. the floors are not elegant. they are typical western, which is good. the lobby is beautiful and welcoming. the room was perfect because we brought our little dog on this trip. the bathrooms are nice (shower separated.) the air conditioning is controlled in the room and works super, and the doors are sliders on balcony/terrace. free shuttle service to the commons. (rmbr to tip valet employees are super nice. rezeptions are also very nice. coffee shop is sweet and the ladies are friendly. in the courtyard is beautiful; very az we love. they have a tw type “ESPN Zone” in the courtyard, which is a real deterrent from beauty. shout after katie at the pool-she works really hard and gets very little help from what we have seen. that has upset us, and as the guests, decided to mention it in this review. After talking to other guests, we were not alone in frustrating with the lack of high Marriott/Westin standards. this is not a 4- or 5-star resort, but the prices make sure they think it is. that is a 3-star resort at this point. quite disappointed. we really love Marriott/Westin properties, so this was a clearer demolition.
I'm sorry I had only one night in the west of Kierland. the area is impressive: wide and perfectly well maintained. my room overlooked the huge golf course and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony. the personal was friendly, smiling and attentive. there was a big convention, but I found that my room was impressively quiet. as you could expect from a west, the room was well equipped, immaculate, and the bed was perfect. every interaction I had was courteous and cheerful. the west is enormous, but it was not difficult to get here. it is convenient to all types of shopping and restaurants, so it would be a good place for family, congresses or other visitors to the city. I would be happy to stay there anytime.
This hotel is not something I would come back. great location with mediocre customer service and terrible rooms. I am a titanium member and I am in scottsdale one or two weeks in the month. my wife and I flew together a few days early to enjoy the weekend before I had to work. we checked in and asked if we got a quieter room and a good location. I was sure it was us and it was an upgrade. we received the exact opposite. we are literally a room at the end of the hotel. we had to run through windings and are in the first floor with a large glass door. People who walk all day and night and look into our room. in addition, we are in the middle of two adjacent rooms. there are literally two doors on each side of the room where it sounds as if a family is in both. I hear that the man or the woman snore loud as if he's in the room with us. a part of me it is my duty to advise him that he can have sleep apnea. I was worried when he stopped breathing a few times. we have never been offered information about the advantages that we are offered as titan, nor have we been advised about the different things in the hotel. forget the use of the pools. they were packed with families, drunk adult, dirty swimming pools and nowhere near the relaxation. save their money and their time. book the four seasons or any hotel above this. today and move to another hotel.
We were here a few weeks ago and came back because we loved it so much. the second time was just as great! this resort is beautiful and the staff is great! we are especially grateful for udi he checked us in both times and was super helpful. he is one of the reasons why we decided to go back to Westin kierland. the aptitudes are amazing many things for adults and children. the scotch library was a great experience eating in all restaurants is really good, and I loved that they had daily activities for the children. we also traveled with our dog and were very satisfied with how pet-friendly they are. there is something for everyone.
Picked a friend up at the airport and took him up to this place to stay. My bad for misplacing the parking ticket I received for the guest parking but having to pay 50 bucks for parking seems a little excessive. Maybe some short term parking would be advisable.
