But definitely worth a visit for their large variety of delicious ciders (not just apple, but also varieties like margarita, pineapple, raspberry and mangohabanero! . The young couple that own Papa Moon are wonderful hosts. You can tell that this is a labor of love for them. Thiswould also be a great venue for a party or wedding.
Great cider and warm, friendly owners. Courtyard is charming and welcoming. Fun animals...pet chickens, goats and Murphy, the Aussie. Parking was superior. A favorite of ours.
Whether you live in western Nebraska or are just passing through, this is a spot that we highly recommend checking out. Lovely ambiance, refreshing and unique cider flavors, good food options (they have their own menu and also host food trucks on certainnights), and it's one of the few places on this side of the state where you can catch live music! We're so grateful to have thisgem in the panhandle.
One of the best cider houses in NE! The Rose Wine ???? is ??????????s ???? I made friends with the chicken ????
I was looking for a place to try and enjoy a relaxing time and taste some wine. I came across this site via Groupon, so decided to go and check out this place . Now I live about 80 miles from this establishment, but was willing to give this placea go. I was not prepared to drive on a dirt road to get to it, but was not going to turn around and maybe do some shoppingwhile in the area. Now this place is just down about 100 feet from the owners house, kind of down the slope of the land. Ifound the entrance to the winery, and found out they serve food. It was a warm sweltering evening, and the business had no AC,so waiting in line to place an order for some wine and a taste of what they had to offer in the food department. I was given anumber, and went back outside to find a place to sit. They had a few picnic tables set up and about 20 to 30 chairs in the nice grassy area. There was a free range rooster walking about, trying to get some pecks into everyone 's food, along with apup, that got put away, not to bother the customers. I was not sure what was going to take place with the entertainment part ofthe ticket, but found out there would be two stand up comedians, and after a while of the first one trying to do his best to getthe crowd into it, I came to the conclusion that this was not going to be a GP rated performance. To make this short, bothcomedians were of that style or genre as with the sows they put on. So, I was disappointed in that. Getting back to the foodand wine, it was a toss up. What I had ordered with the eats and the wine, both kind of cancelled each other out. Now that Iknow where this place is and kind of know what to expect, I can make a better judgement.
