Palazzo Krataiis - SCILLA

Antico palazzo nel centro del villaggio di fronte al mare; grande camera luminosa finemente arredata con tre terrazze di cui una vista mare; personale cordiale e professionale, colazione dolce e salata a buffet eccellente. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo; se dovessi tornare, starei di nuovo qui di notte.

Su una spiaggia bellissima si trova un ristorante raffinato con ottimo cibo. La camera nella grotta è fantastica e davvero suggestiva. Tutto è stato eccezionale, dall'accoglienza al servizio. L'unica pecca è stata l'attesa, ma era comprensibile considerando il gran numero di persone presenti. Forse inaspettato, ma tutto può essere risolto con il buon cibo. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare in anticipo.

Had dinner with friends. Our group was a little chaotic, with people arriving in waves. We had chosen the place because of their declared attention for special dietary needs. We were disappointed, mainly because of the service and for the continuous mistakes to take into account dietary requirements (three times wrong ! . Still, value for money when you consider food and price we paid; also good wines for very competitive price. But, there are better places in Scilla to have dinner.

I was staying at the adjacent hotel and decided to try the newly refurbished restaurant. The historic vaulted ceiling more than compensates for the lack of outdoor seating and in fact the temperature is cool. To eat I had a delicious linguini with swordfish, capers and tomatoes, a local specialty. I finished with some spicy Calabrian pecorino. The service was excellent and the price fair. My daughter and I went to speak to the lady prior to our visit to look at the menu. We explained that four of our family didn't eat fish but we would like to have pasta. She said no problem come to see us and we can sort that out for you. Went today to be greeted by one of the most rudest people in Scilla who obviously thought he was above anyone. He was very blunt when I explained to Jim what we wanted. Bluntly said no, not even sorry we are unable to do this. No reason for his rudeness after the lady the day before had been so friendly and accommodating. Sadly we didn't eat here all because of how rude the chap was. Didn't ask for his name otherwise would have named him. Maybe he should think before opening his mouth, he need to learn manners which make men not boys who think they are something. My husband who is quiet man said he wouldn't go back now. Had been looking forward to our meal. Wouldn't have care deventer they charged full amount for the pasta to compensate for the fact not eating fish. Never mind enjoyed our meal Cqsa Vela very helpful young chap there. Also U Bais again really helpful staff fish and pasta both beautiful.
