Bidrage med feedbackWe had been wandering the tiny streets of Scilla and stopped off at a restaurant jutting out into the sea, called Il Pirata and yes, as swordfish (Spada) is typical of this area, I had Spada rolls with lemon sauce. And they were devine! A wonderful location looking out to sea and it was a perfectly fine day. The staff were attentive and very helpful, service was quick, but not too fast. This restaurant is a great asset to the area and should definitely be recommended.
We thought this looked a decent place and the setting was very scenic standing out over the rocks and sea. Swordfish was ok but served only with drowned lettuce. The real problem was with my vegetarian wife's request for a simple cheese pannini. This turned up with very hard crusty bread sandwiching some hardly melted cheese a rubbery slab. Even just one side of the bread was near inedible. The bread was replaced by two pairs of lightly browned ordinary slices of packet bread basically two limp cheese toasties using the same still unmelted cheese. Price of this item? 10 euros. The young drinks server got the order mixed up. The final straw came when we asked for the bill and were then left waiting to pay for a long time. When I presented my card I was gruffly told I had to go inside and pay. An entirely wasted 80 euros. Try it if you want grumpy waiters and expensive ordinary food.
I can save just the location like it's really beautiful views...but for menù honestly it's for turists for sure....I ordered pasta with vegetables they brought me pasta with a kind of zucchini soup....unbelievable....my husband ordered fish and it was right nothing special...for the prices they have for sure there are restaurants better then this one...NO reccomended...
The place is really nice with a terrace above sea level where you can enjoy a view over the harbour and the Ruffo castle. Food is nice: very good pastas with seafood and sword fish eggs. Then we took a tasty tuna fillet and some swordfish rolls a bit heavy of bread. Sorbetto and Pizzo truffle were the perfect end of the dinner.
A sublime welcome, we recommend local and fresh dishes from people. fresh products and breathtaking views. sin does not exist score to 6 stars.
