Sammy Cohen's - Schaghticoke

I recently went to my class reunion at this restaurant and it was fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. I would definitely return in the future. Overall rating: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Parmesan.

My first visit to Sammy Cohen's was disappointing. The pineapple muddled margarita was overly sour, the seafood in the chowder was rubbery and overcooked, and the cottage pie was difficult to distinguish between corn and mashed potato. The demi glaze in the dish was too acidic, and the brisket patty melt had a large lump of fat. The French fries lacked flavor and tasted like unsalted fryer oil. Overall, I was not satisfied with the quality of the food and felt that there were better dining options nearby.

I was invited to by my friend Grumpy to Sammy Cohen 's and I hadn 't been there. Well let me tell you, I have been VERY IMPRESSED !! The food is as good as it gets. I had a chicken sandwich with a Mediterranean flavoring, and it probably the best sandwich I 've ever had. The roll was fresh and the flavors were over the top. Grumpy and I plan to be back soon. I must not forget the killer carrot cake for dessert ! Service: Take out
