Africana - Schaffhausen

Absolutely fantastic place! I went 5 or 6 times to schaffhausen. eating was always delicious. the owner was very welcoming and a great person who met.

Great, special African food. meat or vegetarian menu. very, very tasty and a very warm experience. service is not professional as in a classic restaurant, but friendly and they really care about their customers. sitting outside is fun watching people who at the very special "webergasse zu fuß just street in the old town of schaffhausen. eating with the hand is the one to go away, but they also serve forks and knives for those who are not willing to get dirty fingers.

Clean restaurant, delicious food and great service, very humble owners. It's amazing experience.

A friendly place to eat the most delicious Ethiopian dishes. The owners are kind, the good is prepared fresh. The restaurant is set in the old town and even the walk to the restaurant feels special. Sometimes you might have to wait if it is crowded but at the end is worth waiting. Ask for the berrbere spices to go with your injera. FYI : We drive 45 min from Zurich to Schaffhausen to eat here.

The food is spectacular as always, however the service still needs to improve. The available staff can't handle the amount of tables that are there and they may forget to bring your drinks or enough napkins for the whole table. I've been there multiple times and unfortunately had the same feeling that they are understaffed or unprepared to serve.
