Cranberry Swamp - Scarborough

Good atmosphere, some nice vegan options, and a lovely bathroom

We were looking at the menu outside and couldn't easily see the vegan options. The owner overheard us and was very accommodating, mentioning there are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available so that everyone can enjoy their meals. I ordered a pot of tea with soy milk and a vegan breakfast consisting of scrambled tofu, sausage, hash browns, beans, spinach, tomatoes, and toast. My partner had an oat cappuccino and a lentil burger, both of which were delicious. We finished our meal with a chocolate cherry cake and a frangipane cake, both of which were excellent. The atmosphere was super friendly and relaxed, and we plan on returning before our trip ends.

The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and accommodating. They offered a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. I ordered a decaf tea with oat milk, orange juice, avocado toast (with three different gluten-free choices), and hash browns. The cafe had a laid-back atmosphere and was popular among locals. The prices were reasonable.

Good range of options for a small cafe. Good service. Had a panini and it was very nice.
