Papa Chang's Express - Scarborough

Eating at Pacific Mall is not a bad idea, especially if you're in the mood for typical Asian fast food court style meals. We tried the popcorn chicken Bento box and pig belly bao, both of which were decent. The portion of the popcorn chicken in the Bento box was generous for the price. The pig belly bao was also good. While the dishes weren't particularly flavorful, the prices at Papa Chang's are reasonable. Overall, it's a decent value for a filling meal.

Dad! Chang serves some of the best popcorn chicken I have ever tasted. When I found out they had opened a second location on the top floor of Pacific Mall as an express ice cream shop, I made a mental note to visit. When I arrived at Eilessen, they had just opened for business. It was just before 11:00 AM on a holiday. Luckily, the man at the counter agreed to sell me a serving of their popcorn chicken even though their cash register hadn't arrived yet. I waited a few minutes for it, but it was worth it. The popcorn chicken was deep-fried and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper - delicious! The portion size was decent too. At $6.20 after tax, it was a reasonable price for a generous serving of fried chicken bites. The chicken was hot and fresh from the fryer, making it very enjoyable to eat. There were plenty of large and small pieces of chicken in the serving.

Papa Chang is always bustling with people and there is usually a long line, but the wait is definitely worth it. For first-time visitors, be sure to try the popcorn chicken and green onion dishes, they are a must-order.

Minced pork on rice is my fave! _Food is served hot and fresh, pretty average amount of food for the price.
