Bidrage med feedbackI haven't been in the tonne bay boat club for some time since I noticed a significant decline in standards and service, and thought that I was better off, although I enjoyed the deck and the beautiful surroundings on the marina....But in the januar this year I was invited to visit a good friend birthday at the club, and on this basic I returned to lunch. I have to admit that I did not expect too much and the reception I received through a somewhat excessive young security man who demanded papers," reminded me of a youthful journey to East Germany and beyond and the border of the berliner wall. as it may be, once sitting inside and on the deck, the ambiente was quite different, and the staff, although not clumpy over-attentive, were equally pleasant and helpful. my biggest surprise was eating. I had the seafood plated and was attacked by the size and quality of the part! especially given the very reasonable price. unhappy that I saw that I served other members of our party, looked just as cumbersome, and I was assured by their goddess that they tasted as good as they looked. I was so impressed by the service and eating that I talked to some friends to check the boat club one night to dinner. they were as impressed as I am, and we have now marked the ton bay boat club as favorit and will return regularly. the place can fill out, so it is advisable to book at a weekend. this is now a top spot and deserves a good call for eating, service and views.
We decided to eat here at midday, as it belonged to fighting it. we entered and checked in the Kovid app and was hit by front door person on half way to bar and instead welcomed with a friendly hallo we were asked “has made kovid...thing” could mean different things. we were then asked if we were members and did not explain to us other club membership shown. we asked if we could serve lunch. we were perhaps told when we go to dinner quickly and say it's about the corner over there. we stood in the service counter and asked if lunch is still served. we said that they stopped at 2:30 a.m. and if we had ordered ourselves immediately, then it would be ok, ordered and then ask what table we had not, as it had signed, that we had to wait for the staff to sit! in less than 10 minutes, hot and cold seafood plated. the beetles were dry and no taste at all, the muddling and uttering were dried, so not. while we eat, they came and set reserved signs for dinner reservation, it was 3pm. when we were finished, they took away teller, did not ask why we had not eaten oysters or muddles or whether we enjoyed our meal. the waitress then said that we didn't stay too long, they had to prepare for dinner. now 3:30 and assured her that we had no desire to stay there and leave. the person at the door did not look at us or say goodbye. I don't mind what she's struggling, bad customer care and bad eating, which is obviously prepared and left in the refrigerator, how long who knows would not return.
I had seafood knower and all that it was is a cherry slurry her charge $28? or do they tell me what they would call? I think I could eat better from a campbells once bitten twice shy
Enjoying lunch on the deck. Beautiful views, lovely lunch created by chef Scott( I asked who the chef was) and friendly service. I ordered the leek and mushroom risotto suitable for vegans too) Well done to the entire team, you nailed it! I must...say the garlic prawns that my friend ordered looked amazing too. Great prices, great food and a fabulous outlook. I’ll be back again soon.
My friends and I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch during our visit to the area. The restaurant has a charming old-world vibe and a nice outdoor deck overlooking the marina. The menu offers typical club style dishes at reasonable prices. Three out of the four of us found our meals to be satisfactory, but unfortunately, my burger was disappointing. The patty was filled with so much padding that it lacked flavor and did not taste like char-grilled meat as expected. Additionally, about an hour after leaving the restaurant, I experienced a bout of Deli Belly that lasted for a couple of hours. Since it was my first meal of the day, I can only assume it was the burger that caused my discomfort. It is worth noting that I was the only one who felt unwell, so the other dishes must have been fine.
