Bidrage med feedbackThe Panificio (Bakery) is a simple place to eat, with just a few things on offer, but it gives a real taste of local colour, and the bread and focaccia are just delicious! We found it a refreshing change from all the other fancy restaurants nearby with their big menus. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. The focaccia only cost us 6 euros for two, and it was more than enough for the two of us. It's like a pizza, where you get a choice of toppings, but it is on a bread like substance. The first night we sat and ate with the locals in the street. On our final night we took two away with us on a big cardboard tray to eat on our terrace. The loaves of breads with tomato or vegetables in them, which the baker sold during the day, were like some thing I had never tasted before and were just delicious. The owners were very friendly, charming and helpful. A real must to if you want to experience some local colour and delicious local cooking.
Home made biscuits and bread, extremely tasty and the biscuits traveled well so still enjoying them now back in the UK
