Mar's Cosmic Fries - Sauble Beach

I lived in Sauble for years and ALWAYS have to have my Mar's fries fix whenever I visit now. Their gravy is soooo yummy. Great location right on the beach too.

Had heard these fries were legendary and was excited to try them. We (and many other people) ended up having to wait 45 minutes for our poutine. Was it worth the wait? Yes, it was. Don't know if they were down a fryer or were short staffed over the holiday weekend, but fries shouldn't take that long. I hope it was a one-time hiccup.

Tried the fries based on the ratings. Terrible. Took more than 20 minutes and they weren't busy at all. 4 orders ahead of me, all fries and still took forever. Good thing I didn't have a complicated order like a hot dog. Could be wrong here but do not believe that the order I received was properly 'double fried' as they should be for a place like this. Nope, they copped out and served up dry fries. Well some of us noticed. no place to sit either. Not worth the wait, stay away.

I have only ever ordered the fries from Mars Cosmic fries, so I cannot comment on any other food, but I always enjoy their fries. When looking at the size boxes and corresponding prices next to the order window, you may think the fires are a little expensive. However, they dishes are served overflowing into the bag them container is placed in, and there are loads of fries.

Yes it sounds weird but don't knock it until you try it, because they are very tasty and i would have them in a heart beat, maybe try these with some pineapple too? :}Our kids enjoy the fish and chips and have to have a least once on our visits.The line ups are normal because everything is so good and worth the wait.
