Three of us got there around 6.30pm and ordered the sampler platter and poutine. The bill was a little under 50# with free soda top ups. Everything is smoked on site and arrives hot and fresh'staff were very friendly and food arrived promptly with extra plates. We sat outside in the glassed off porch under a golf umbrella which shielded us from the road and evening sunThe barbecue was to die for with the ribs dropping of the bone. The meat was so tender. The pulled pork was just right and those bread rolls were to die for. The salad was awesome with just the right amount of seasoningWe asked for doggy bags to take the rest home as the remaining was like two portionsThe decor was a bit wild west with beer advert signs adorning the walls. Definitely will go back again
We used to drool just thinking about having their chicken or ribs. Happened to be near and thought we'd have supper. We were disappointed. They have renno'd the inside and it is much nicer, but the ribs might as well been jerky. They were terribly dry and tough and not so cleverly hid under gobs of sauce. What happened guys??? The coleslaw and cornbread are still winners but without the moist delicious meat... not worth it.
We visited this place years ago. In our most recent visit to Saskatoon, we were looking for somewhere different to eat for lunch. In close proximity to our hotel, we decided to revisit, and glad we did!Having someone in our family with a nut allergy, finding restaurants can be tricky. Upon arrival, I asked about their ingredients. I was told (by the friendly guy working the till) that the restaurant was 100% nut free (I didn't notice this sign on the door until we were leaving). A HUGE bonus in my books. After several moments of trying to decide, the employee asked if this was our first time, and suggested we try the "Sample Platter", which included ribs, fries, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, Caesar salad, and buns. We decided to order that, and was impressed! it was $40 plus the cost of drinks. Pretty darn good to feed your family quality food!!The tables had a deck of cards, so we settled in to have a quick game before our food arrived. However, the service was so quick, that we didn't get the cards out of the deck before our food started to arrive. We started off with a massive caesar salad (which we could not finish). The salad was delicious! One of the best I've ever had. Loved the large slices of parmesan and lemon wedges that were included. The platter was huge, and our family of four could not finish it. Everything was amazingly good and tasty. We were there on a Friday at 12:30, and I was worried that it would be so busy we'd have to wait a long time. There was plenty of room, and a consistent stream of customers, but we were in and out in an hour. Thanks for a great meal! We will be backPS - the kids were disappointed you removed the retro video arcade games. I secretly was too. Please bring Pac Man back :)
Stopped in the other night. The schryer fries are always good, topped with pork and coleslaw. The button ribs with apple butter sauce were amazing though. The sauce was just excellent.
