Il Colle Pizzeria - SARNANO

This restaurant was moved from a location out of town which was damaged by last years earthquakes. It is now under the guidance of the sister of the original owner and chef, and i think it is an improvement, Good service, excellent choice of dishes. convenient to the town being right in the main piazza. its one of the best all round around.

The food here is like most places in this region home style italian. The owner who is running the floor is quite grumpy and not very accommodating, after 2 visits we will not return.

Prior to the earthquake last year, this restaurant was situated in Gabella Nuova, on the outskirts of Sarnano. It was always a very popular restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating in the summer. The building was totally destroyed in the earthquake and its new location is on the main square in Sarnano. We love it here it's lively and the outdoor seating has a wonderful view of life in the town. The food is great, whether pasta, pizza or steak and at a very reasonable price. The waiters/waitresses are all very friendly and efficient and the owner and his daughter are always on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly. This restaurant is well worth a visit!

Had a great meal here. we ordered a shared antipasti dish which was more than enough. The lamb chops were delicious and my daughter loved her steak with mushroom sauce. All in all a great evening with good food in an atmospheric establishment.

Residing in Italy this restaurant has long since passed us by just by looking outside and will now continue to do so forever. We definitely should have known better and gone on instinct. The cleanliness and general attitude is as low a standard as you can expect for the region and there are so many better places within the price range despite the usual semi hidden 'service ' charges common in Italy anyway. The food is well prepared but lacks any originality and carbon copies many others but to a much lower standard than any I have ever visited over 30 years. Averagely presented but most importantly the hygiene is very circumspect, smoking commonplace in Italy but not by the chef in front of the customers just before serving food please! An older cliental visiting for years I 've no doubt will continue to do so but the one circle tick was only for the local wine bottled with expertise that was sadly lacking in its entirety at the restaurant itself. Please don 't risk this place, it is terrible.
