Great location and room, but the food was really quite ordinary, and the price was out of line with the product. There are significantly better Japanese restaurants in the immediate area at this price point. It was not a bad experience dining here by any means. I just like to spend my money wisely.
Well I wish I could say I loved it , but I can 't. In short, Geiko San is a very good restaurant, but the cost far exceeds the level of sushi craftsmanship. For about R$600 2 ppl, just soft drinks) you can have a much better experience at other japanese restaurants, which certainly will offset the lack of fancy ingredients for excellent execution. Very Low Point: Sushi Rice from the combo was under cooked. Rookie mistake, never expected this to be overlooked. Low Point: Crispy scallop with Salmon Roe. Either the scallops died in the window or the guy who prepared is missing deep frying skills. Seriously, why brother making something crisp if it is going to be drenched in sauce for minutes? If the sauce was poured right before eating it could be remarkable, but sadly I can only recall soggy memories from this dish. OK: Black Cod. The waiter insisted it would be remarkable, so we ordered it to find out the dish is a fish with Jello-like consistency, marinated in misso and something veeeery sweet, finished sous vide. The dish is only the protein +2 slices of lemmon)! Luckily I ordered some Gohan to go along. To be honest, the flavor is nice but the texture of the fish is very weird. This dish seriously commands some rice or some sides to balance the soft and moist. High: Tempura, sashimi cut, quality of ingredients and dessert: Banana flambé was excepcional.
The most expensive sushi combo tasted terrible. There was too much truffle taste and you couldn’t even taste the fish of the sushi. Definitely not worth the price and should be taken off the menu
As promised the hotspotsp finally got to know the Geiko-San: the most innovative restaurant of the present time that merges Japanese cuisine with the Italian, exotic né!? the @geiko_san is ultra-louded and also could not be different having as one of the partners the dear @marcusbuaiz! we went there with the couple of the blog @dopaoaocaviar, very nice and beautiful! the first thing that impressed us was the service: impeccable at all, the waiters and chefs made several hints of dishes (all wonderful) and drinks (one better than the other) knowing how to describe all that they were offering us with a sympathy out of the ordinary! we love it! more. read more
