Bidrage med feedbackThe service was more or less. The food was ok Linguiça Artesanal for 49 Reais was more than enough for a person. We shared four! The best was the Água de Côco (as coconut) and 0.6 l in a “jarra”.
This beach bar has absolutely beautiful decor. I didn't just like the look of the restaurant, I really enjoyed the food! It is a beach bar, so the menu is quite similar to what you can find at most Brazilian beach bars. We had the crab that was perfectly seasoned. We also had the shrimp stew (ensopado) that was really not like any other I had eaten here in Brazil – very delicious! They also make a very good Caipirinha, but what I liked most was the Kachaça in Maranhão (Vale do Riachão). While in the city, you will try the local dish: cuxá. It is a parsley-based “sauce” with dry shrimps and is very tasty. Well, the Cuxá here is excellent, so it is a good place to try it if you have not done it on your stay in this area.
It took more than an hour to get the dishes we asked, it was very hard to get the attention of the waiter. Every time we want to order a beer, we need to go to the reception to ask them.... Two times I had to go back to the reception to complain about orders that have never arrived.... The food is okay, not bad, but not the best of São Luis.
When we arrived first, we were not aware of the order protocol. We sat on a waiter for about 5-10 minutes. When we got one to stop, he showed us the light switch on the side of the umbrella and said that if you want service, just turn on the light. From then on, the service was excellent. (so do not forget the switch) The food was a bit expensive, but it was very good. In fact, we landed again for a second meal. It was extremely relaxing to watch the waves roll in and listen to live music.
