Apartahotel Drake - Santo Domingo

That was the perfect place for us. We had business on foot. After a late flight we arrived at 3:30. The guard opened the gate to the parking lot and we were checked in less than 5 minutes. The room was clean. The air conditioning was cold and we slept silently. The room was very quiet. Just note an article and that was not hot water for the shower. This is common and almost expected for those of us living in the Caribbean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I'm sure you stay here.

Ok, here 's my point of view. Some people are going to say: Oh! No fancy furniture, TV on these rooms are not even 60 , where 's the jacuzzi or the pool? what a ordinary premises! But if you 're the type of person that are going to spend day to night out, (especially in the downtown area) or going for business. Unless it 's big business, and you really need to impress, and you are millionaire or may just want to fill that inner ego with that US$1000 per night on a Executive Master Suite. Well be my guest. See, is up to your income and how long you 're staying. then if your a reasonable and practical person with a normal income, then this a smart choice for you. It just doesn 't make sense (at least for me) paying for luxury you 're not going to stay just for more than a couple of hours resting. For the rest, this rooms are very decent, service is nice and location is the best with a price that is hard to beat for the competition.

It is unpleasant to write a bad review, but I wish I had paid more attention to reviews before I decided to spend a week here. I agree with some reviews here. The staff totally doesn't want to be there, they are not only slow, but they totally have an attitude as if each client meant more work for them. The breakfast included was horrible that I only had it at the hotel once. The room was not very clean, there was hair in the shower drain and the bed sheets had stains. The location is great, but it seems like the hotel is run by someone that doesn't like it and don't put any money in keeping it nice. The walls paint was peeling, the mini fridge in the room had a visible broken door, and the place in general is not very clean. If you are on a really tight budget find some Airbnb, it will definitely be a better experience

The worst hotel I had ever seen super dirty and the staff no helpful. When I got there the hotel front desk girl (who you can clearing tell that she hated her job) it took her forever to come help me, didn't even look at me and was giving me attitude. zero stars if I could. You made a reservation for 5 nights I only stayed 1 because it was late to find another hotel. Trust me people stay away spend a few more dollars and find something better. We stayed at the Radisson after that. Complete 360.

It’s not a modern, fancy hotel at all, classic and old decor, but very clean, The towels and sheets are super clean and have a very rich smell, the room and bathroom are clean, hot water and breakfast. Should think of remodeling because is a hotel in the heart of the city Piantini
