Marbacoa - Santiago de Surco

We love Marbacoa! When we first stopped on a whine, we shared a chancho al cilindro sandwich and were amazed how good the meat was! We've been there three times, and every time we go with full geese. Our favorite thing to get is a dish of Chancho al Cilindro with frits and either salad or apples... it is salty and sweet, and with the meat it is delicious! They bring sauces to the table to eat with the Chancho, and they are so good, I pour them over the meat. It is a decent deal for the amount of food you get... a plate of meat with two sides for something over 20 soles. It's more than we usually spend on food, but it's worth it. I am happy to take my family here when they visit Lima again!
