Kate's - Santander

As most westerners know, getting good food in the Philippines is a challenge. This place is an attempt to provide an alternative to fast food culture. The place has a decent menu and you can get things like veggies which are most elusive elsewhere. The fish Kinilaw is good and if they don't have fresh fish you can bring your own for cooking for 350P. We bought some nice yellofin and got it cooked there. Very yummy. Beware that in the country they tend to overcook tuna and it is important to remind them.

This food was a big disappointment. Maybe the cook was off but i won't be back. Sorry but that's how i feel. Service was good.

The Halo-halo and their burgers are super delicious! The place is very accessible too! When you need food that's worth your money, this is the place to be in! Be there when you visit Santander!

Kate has a nice little restaurant at the side of the main road and offers decent fresh cooked meals.

Staff doesn't speak English. Food very low quality. I would not come back. Oddly u must pay before food is served
