La Taberna Del Herrero - Santander

We were staying locally and followed the TripAdvisor reviews to the restaurant. Although it is in a small warehouse in the Santander suburbs don't be put off. The welcome was friendly and the food Spanish, good value, tasty and generous. Lots of locals were there and sharing dishes seemed to be a popular option. A phrase book was useful for menu translations but it was well worth the effort. Recommended.

My family and I decided to make a short trip to Santander for spring break. One night for dinner we went to the downtown location and we absolutely loved it. The ambient was nice and safe for all ages, the food was delicious specially the callos and the service tried their best speaking English which was a plus for us. We loved it so much that the day after we took a taxi to the other location for lunch. For our surprise we liked it even more!! Everyone made us feel very comfortable and the food was very good too. Their menu del día had a very good selection and the portions were big and fulfilling. It 's such a nice place to go with family as well as with friends and have fun while enjoying an update of the traditional Spanish food. Definitely coming back as soon as possible!!

We had already visit La Taberna del Herrero in the city center of Santander and we heard about this one. It was a good choice. The food quality is very good, the portion sizes and the different menu options are quite OK (as in the other one). But this place is much larger and it is easier to park than the one in the center. It is more modern decorated as well. It is the perfect place for every ocassion, it doesn't matter if you are going with family, kids, friends... it has a lot of different areas adapted for every case. The only minus point is the location, a bit far from the center. Definitely I would go there again.

Trato excelente , eso lo primero y más importante . Amabilísimos y muy pendientes . Y la comida , todo muy bueno , y raciones muy abundantes . Totalmente recomendable

La taberna S20 es de mis sitios favoritos de Santander! El personal, siempre es super amable. El servicio bastante rápido y los platos, me encantan! Cada vez, voy probando platos nuevos (hay mucha variedad) y nunca defrauda. Los precios son razonables por la buena calidad de la comida y el servicio. Vuelvo siempre que puedo! Hemos celebrado varios cumples ahí. Siempre se adaptan al grupo, poniéndonos en una zona tranquila y adaptando un menu especial. Un lujo!
