Bidrage med feedbackHave visited a few times in the last weeks for lunch and dinner. The food is generally well presented, whether it is meat dishes or pasta. This restaurant is open during the week when others are not in the area. Many seats with some tables outside, but be careful of loud cars with music. Service is fast and friendly. It will be a regular hunt as it is a quite reasonable place. I'm sure I'll visit again.
On a Thursday evening one of the few places in Santa Rosa is open as it is the low season. We were not particularly hungry and had decided not to drink alcohol, so we stuck to pasta and salads. My ravioli with spinach and ricotta was excellent as the salad. Without wine and only ice for the desert the bill came to less than 20 US for two. A beautiful place you can guarantee a good meal. Cards accepted. The restaurant can provide very large parties, because behind the curtains is a very large room.
We went to dinner on Wednesday night in low season. Los Pinos was one of the few restaurants open in the city. At 21 hours we were the only eaters. Fortunately a group of people associated with a rally that ran through the city tomorrow arrived or the atmosphere improved. Er commented on this restaurant earlier, the food is konsequente for bifes and grill. Excellent list of wine and attentive service.
We've been here a few times. This visit was on a weekday for dinner. Los Pinos is not cheap, but it is still a good steak house in a street filled with other restaurants. I had a fillet mignon that was tender, my companion had grilled chicken breast that was too thin and seemed not grilled but baked. Although we had no expensive wine, the bill was steep according to Argentine standards. I would prefer El Parral de Los Ferreyra at any time.
We learned that Los Pinos takes its name from two big pine trees that stood at the entrance many years ago. The restaurant serves a varied menu from steaks to pasta and fish. Behind the entrance there's a huge room where large parties get together for dinner. We went on a Friday night and it was busy although not full. In spite of the huge dinner being served for nearly 200 people in the big room, our service was prompt and efficient. There are a few tables outside that we used when we went for lunch about a week ago. They take credit and debit cards, useful if you hate taking a lot of cash with you. Prices were reasonable and the quality of food and variety commendable.
