Sam's Bagels - Santa Monica

I got the Lox sandwich and the Salad sandwich both on sesame bagels. They were good. The bagels were flavorful and a bit more thin and crispy than a doughy one you can find in NYC. I would get it again when in the area.

Bagel quality is a 1/10. Cream cheese...0/10. The bagel was dough y (not fully cooked...even though I got it toasted) and, for an everything bagel, lacked salt. What is weirder the cream cheese tasted partially salty...it tasted like it was made with sour cream. Service speed...2/10. I've had lower speed service in NYC, but...this is definitely a low quality offering. Noah's is better...and that's saying a lot!

I'm disappointed. I got my order for takeout and had no chance to go back.So, surprisingly I didn't get any of the extras I paid for.No chive cream cheese, no extra lox. Not toasted. How come?!!

I walked by this morning and the bagels smelled good so I gave it a try. The everything bagels were hard when cutting it in half before toasting, seemed stale and tasted kinda stale too. disappointed.
