Wilshire - Santa Monica

I usually really enjoy eating here for a Sunday roast, but the service seems to have gone down in the last days in which I was. Last week we waited a long time for our waitress to welcome us and most articles on the menu were not available (including no roast potatoes for the roast). We were charged for extra Gravy substitutions and then we probably got only 2 or 3 drinks on the groundless special, because no one really checked for us (us with empty glasses most of the time we were there). I really hope the service improves because the concept is great and the food tastes amazing.

The food was good, pleasant, the prices were quite high and not justified. All sides were delicious, but quite small for high prices.

The restaurant wasn’t the same. It was empty. And the menu was completely different and somewhat limited. Perhaps the chef is gone and the restaurant up for sale??

Wilshire Restaurant delivered great food. Our waiter was fun and energetic and made our girls night out a great dining experience. We enjoyed ourselves and overall, it was a 5-star. The prices were a little high but everyone else in the group of 6 felt it was worth it.

We hadn’t been to Wilshire in a couple of years. Whoever is cooking did a splendid job. Lobster donuts? Amazing. Very pleasant experience. We will be returning soon.
