Pecos Trail Cafe - Santa Fe

This cafe is a gem!!! Heartfelt hospitality. Excellent food. And a Carajillo Coffee that was surprisingly divine! The patio is perfect for southwest sunsets. Pecos Trail Cafe is one of those special places in this world. One that I look forward to returning to.

We were visiting from Couer d'Alene, Idaho with friends from Raton. Excellent food, full of flavor and great size portions! ALL the staff was so friendly, made you feel like family. Jorge (owner) was amazing, he made time to talk to each patron. Our second visit (back to back- the whole experience was so very good) we were the last ones in the cafe and Jorge talked with us like he had all the time in the world. It was obvious that he truly enjoys what he does. A for sure for our next visit!!!

My third visit just completed. Food was delicious!!!! Best enchiladas I have ever eaten. Service was spectacular. The man singing and playing the guitar just made it even that much better. Will I eat here again? ABSOLUTELY!!

I just arrived in Santa Fe and tried this place based on reviews and location. I had a simple meal of chicken enchiladas with salsa verde and it was awesome. The chicken was grilled, tasty and tender. The sauce was home made and mildly spicy. The pinto beans were tasty and whole instead of the puree some places serve. The rice was perfectly cooked and fresh. Even the lettuce and tomato was very fresh. Clean place. It seemed the owner and his wife served me and were super friendly.

Pecos Trail Cafe is a WONDERFUL place to eat. The food is spectacular and if you have special dietary requests or food allergies, they are extremely conscientious about your safety. Great menu selection and the desserts are heavenly, try the arroz dulce de leche pie, you will not be disappointed. You wouldn't think of ordering pizza here but it has homemade crust and great variety if toppings, so pick your favorites and I would say you will be back for more. Whatever your taste buds are craving you will be more than satisfied with anything you order. Lastly, Jorge and staff will treat you with like family!!!!!!
