Japanese New Tokyo

To say this is the best sushi in Bolivia would be lying. It’s probably the best in South America. This family owned place makes you feel part of the family from the moment you enter. All that wouldn’t mean a thing without incredible food, which is just what we got. Personal favorites are the sushi sandwich , sashimi de trucha and nigiri sushi.

We had been missing a taste of Japan and didn’t know what to expect in Bolivia but New Tokyo did not disappoint. we enjoyed a California roll, Oyako Don and a generous Obento Set (with tori karaage, maki sushi, shogayaki a ginger-teriyaki pork, grilled trout etc). New Tokyo exudes a spirit of Japanese hospitality from the warm towels you’re greeted with to the professionalism of the staff. We also saw the Japanese chef on our way out

Best Japanese food restaurant in town. A culinary journey that allows you to taste dishes in a very well elaborated style with very traditional flavors.

Very nice place. Can totally recommend it. Friendly, great food and wine. First real sushi in Bolivia on my 4th try.
