Bidrage med feedbackThe place does not look like the picture online. All the food is super salty. The main item in every dish is kimchi, and it isn't easy to find a piece of meat or fresh vegetables. The signature chicken wings recommended by a waitress taste like orange chicken. Won't come again!
Danawa is a delightful Korean bar that offers a unique dining experience combined with a lively atmosphere. Located in Santa Clara; this establishment is a great place to enjoy Korean cuisine and socialize with friends. The menu at Danawa features a variety of Korean dishes that are perfect for sharing and pairing with drinks. From classic favorites like kimchi and bulgogi to more adventurous options such as tteokbokki and samgyeopsal, there is something for everyone's taste buds. The flavors are authentic and well-executed, capturing the essence of Korean cuisine. One standout dish at Danawa is their Korean fried chicken. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The various sauce options, such as spicy gochujang or soy garlic, add a burst of flavor that elevates the dish. It's a must-try for any fried chicken enthusiast. The atmosphere at Danawa is vibrant and energetic, with a lively crowd and upbeat music setting the tone for a fun night out. The bar offers an extensive selection of drinks, including Korean soju and a variety of imported beers. The staff members are friendly and attentive, providing prompt service even during busy times. One area where Danawa could improve is in the portion sizes. Some dishes may be on the smaller side, especially if you're dining with a larger group. It would be great to see more generous portions or the option to order larger sizes for sharing.Overall, Danawa is a great spot to enjoy Korean cuisine in a lively and social setting. The delicious food, lively atmosphere, and friendly staff create an enjoyable experience. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a place to hang out with friends, Danawa is worth a visit. Just be prepared for potentially smaller portion sizes and consider ordering a variety of dishes to share and make the most of your dining experience.
It was a random Tuesday afternoon-evening, we were wanting to get a few drinks prior to going to karaoke. This place didn't completely disappoint!Overall; the drinks and food really aren't bad! We had the French fries, the chicken and a carafe of mango cocktail soju. The fries were fresh and crispy, the chicken was densely covered in sauce and also hot and the cocktail soju was plentiful and helped get us ready for karaoke! The only thing we found a bit lacking was the service. You have to ring a bell to have a server come so that you may order. The server took a bit of time to get to us after we rung the bell. The server also forgot to put in an order for a few of our things, and we needed up ordering it again through him and in the end, he didn't quite get it right. The place itself is low lit and hip, with tables and curtains, music blasting and a younger crowd working and attending as clients.Overall; not bad food, good drinks, mediocre service.
This is a cool dinner/late night spot to go with friends. It's located in a small corner of a large plaza so it could be easy to miss. My friends and I all got the soft tofu soup. I got seafood version. Soft tofu soup here is different from other places because 1) they don't ask you what spice level you want, but I didn't mind because I liked their default spice level and 2) they don't give you eggs to break into the soup. The taste was pretty good, but average. There was a decent amount of seafood in my soup and it came with a bowl of rice. Nothing mind-blowing, but the flavor was good and it was a warm and filling meal. I wish we had some Korean side dishes to go with the meal. I'll say that the prices here are pretty high, even for appetizers. I recommend sharing dishes with friends if you want to order multiple items. Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive!Overall, this place has a nice, dimly lit vibe with k-pop music videos and songs playing in the background. It's a great place for dinner and to catch up with friends.
