Oku - Santa Barbara

Our server was very nice as was every other employee we encountered. That's where the good part ends. The wait times for items ordered were unacceptable. We were left waiting approx 20 minutes for ice green tea- and not offered water or anything else during the wait. This continued throughout the ordering.we never received 3 items that were ordered- fresh wasabi, a roll and the matcha crème brûlée. We had to send back the snow crab roll and a carpaccio that truly didn't taste good. Other items tasted great- but some were oddly very cold. Great location, some great tasting items, several issues.

I had put a note in the reservation that we were there to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. There was no mention of this when we checked in on arrival or any mention by the waitstaff, etc.

We had an amazing experience here. It was our first time visiting this restaurant, everyone Loved their meal. Highly recommend, Food was amazing!

Had a reservation at 5:45 and had requested outside. I was told there was nothing outside so I said I'd wait until a table opened up. They told me I couldn't sit outside until 8:30. Ridiculous. Not the way to run a restaurant. We walked out and won't be back.

Good menu with good choices. Service was professional.
