We have previously enjoyed excellent meals here and were pleased with the amazing breakfasts and lunches. However, we were disappointed to find that there are no longer vegan options on the menu and the waitstaff seemed unsure of what vegan means. Despite indicating our dietary preferences and allergies during booking and confirming with the hotel that vegan options were available, we were met with confusion and frustration when we asked for a vegan breakfast upon arrival. After some back and forth, the chef was able to prepare a tasty but small breakfast for us. We hope that the restaurant will consider adding vegan options back to their menu. In the meantime, be sure to communicate directly with the restaurant about your dietary needs when making a reservation.
I am aware that chef Rocky Durham is married, as am I, but sometimes my taste buds wander... This restaurant in Santa Fe is the top choice for vegan fine dining. There are no obstacles to being vegan here. The menu includes standard vegan options that are clearly marked. The staff understands what vegan entails. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is flawless and we usually end up cleaning our plates. Be sure to check the website as they strive for farm-to-table excellence and adjust their menu based on seasonal ingredients from the farm. However, we find the food consistently delicious and we trust that we will always be well taken care of when we visit.
We were several times, but the menu changes so that it hit or miss, and usually missing protein. The Tamales are wonderful when they have them. Other times, a smoothie counts as one of the few vegan brunch options. There is no direct number and it can be hard to reach them. They are not consistent in open hours.
We were at the spa so it made sense to stay for dinner. Many vegan options and they are clearly marked. I thought it would be quite expensive (Gucamole for $15, and that was the lowest point). I ordered a herbal curry rice bowl recommended by my waiter and I was disappointed, it had no taste at all, strange, since Curry is a living taste. I think I would have been happier with another option though, as there were so many and the cook should be one of the best in the area. Menu is very healthy so that they go for it.
Super vegan friendly with vegan options marked clearly on the menu. Friday and Saturday evenings also have a 3-course vegan tasting menu! We ate twice there and I loved both meals. Some highlights are the Soba noodle dish, the green Chili vegan burger and the three sisters tamales. Not to miss is the celery root soup! The little ride is totally worth it and the place is also quite great.
