Toma Restaurant & Bar - Santa Ana

We arrived at the restaurant earlier than our reservation time. The hostess informed us that we would have to wait 45 minutes to an hour. However, we became frustrated when we noticed that two larger groups were seated before us, even though there were empty tables available. I spoke with a man to express my frustration, but he claimed that they seat people in the order of their reservations. It would have been helpful if they had communicated this to us beforehand to avoid a long wait. The establishment should work on improving their protocols to avoid wasting their customers' time.

Visiting Santa Barbara and stumbled upon this absolute gem! The service was amazing, the waiter and his assistant were on top of everything throughout the meal. Outdoor seating was fine due to the heaters and the food was amazing. Thank you to all for the best possible experience

Food is top notch, service is great, patio can be a bit tough. When it's windy, the palm trees blow fronds everywhere and the cars steer to avoid them. The outdoor patio is in the street and it's dangerous out there. But like I said, GREAT food! Bring your high value credit, it's all a la carte. Cheers! Great wine menu.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Our server was wonderful and had a great sense of humor. The food was outstanding; you could definitely tell that the chef is top-notch. The drinks were also excellent. It may be on the pricey side, but they don't skimp on quality here! Overall rating: 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. Service type: Dine-in for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to this restaurant, as the reviews were outstanding. The service was exceptional and the wine selection was incredible. The ambiance was lovely. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. We tried the house pasta special and the rigatoni, both of which were lacking in flavor. The rigatoni was overcooked, although the sauce was decent. Despite this, the service, wine, and ambiance were all fantastic. It may have just been an off night for the kitchen. Overall ratings: Food: 2, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
