Bidrage med feedbackWhat an absolutely excellent breakfast choice! How gently recommend; sit outside, enjoy wine, full traditional breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, coffee.. Best views of city VERY remote... Then so for a small hike in area... Could easily make a day of eating..drinking...hiking and repeating. No English translation available... No wifi and limited cell service.. But 10/10 ambience!!!! A
We ate at a nearby Michelin star restaurant for dinner one night, and asked a local where to go for lunch. He directed us up a mountain road (narrow, luckily, few other cars, but not for the faint hearted go slow! . We have been back here many times, but never to the higher rated one down the road! We found ourselves overlooking the valley on a stone bench, drinking the local wine, eating local food beautifully prepared, smiling waitstaff translating my modest castillian and bad catalan and anytime we have overseas visitors now, we bring them here. We had an INCREDIBLE meal here two weeks ago, and as I think the two reviews the restaurant was given in other languages were not good, I wanted to balance those out with a well deserved five star rating. Best ever? Snails (cargoles or the rabbit (connilll on the grill divine. Boar and cheeks were fall off the bone. DESSERTS were declared best Crema Catalana yet, the Meli Mato tasted like it came from the farm down the road, walnuts off the tree outside. As usual, we were welcomed back by the staff, and our Canadian friends were thrilled to peek at the church, note the big old beams and stone walls, devour the local fare. There was not ONE dish that did not get rave reviews. This is only one of two restaurants I have ever checked yes in the box asking if it was one of the best meals I have ever had!
Hoping this is the right place. We drove until the road ended in a wonderful mountain top park with a small cathedral and restaurant. The inn keeper was hospitable and the food indescribable. The Vino Tino (Red Wine) is fortified with brandy and the wild boar was as local as it gets. We had Calcots on charcoal, the best snails I've ever had. Boar stew, rabbit and veal cheeks that melted in the mouth. A three hour lunch was followed by brandy and Cortado on the stone table out front. If you can find this place, be patient and enjoy the heck out of it because the are few places on the plant like his left. Authentic, authentic, authentic. Six of us rolled out of there raving about our great experience. Don not measure by North American standards. This is way better. Be patient, be polite and relax in the Catalonian experience.
L'únic que no em va agradar va ser el xai que estava massa fet. Tampoc ens vam entendre amb els primers, però tot molt net, agradable i a sobre va ploure. És un xic car
El lugar es muy bonito, el trato amable. Un ambiente acogedor y fresco en verano al aire libre. Me sabe mal decirlo, pero la comida no justificaba su precio. Pelotillas de carne reseca y apelmazada. La resta de platos bien. Pensaba que iba a salir más contento. No puedo recomendarlo
